Takoyaki (???? or ??) is a ball-shaped Japanese snack made of a wheat flour-based batter and cooked in a special moulded pan.
It’s delicious, specially if you are into Japanese food, but it is a bit hard to get the ball shape if you lack the technique, so the Japanese people has invented this wonderful machine that will slowly flip the Takoyaki while cooking it, so it won’t stick and it will have perfect ball shape.
It is typically filled with minced or diced octopus (tako), tempura scraps (tenkasu), pickled ginger, and green onion, but at home, you can fill it up with what you want.
The price is around $140, but for the speed of this machine, and how easy it is to use, if you will use it, the price is very decent! You can make 12 Takoyakis at the same time, in only a couple of minutes.
